The end-of-summer ritual in its 7th year that celebrates two great American institutions, Barbecue & Beer, the Independence Brew-B-Q is on the calendar for August 25, 2012! Overwhelm your senses with outstanding Barbecue, slow cooked for hours over hardwood smoke and served up in Riverwalk Parks. Entry to the Riverwalk Parks area is FREE. The 2012 Brew-B-Q Brew Tasting is the place you need to be to sample and enjoy national brews, imports, craft, and home brew beers from across the globe. Enjoy all the samples for one amazing low price. The 2012 Brew-B-Q & Bike Ride Too! is set to kick early morning. ride at your own pace around the beautiful rolling landscape of Buchanan County all on hard surfaced roads some of the best in the state. Bring your lawn chair and groove with Iowa rock and roll Hall of Fame Inductee Bob Dorr and The Blue Band and Iowa blues masters celebrating their 30th year. Come enjoy our opening group, Lonesome Road. Live Music starts at 2:00 and lasts until 9:00 p.m. Portion of proceeds are donated to a charity to be announced.
